On Wednesday December 10th at 12.00 at Boscolo Hotel Exedra in Rome, a new National Journalists for Solidarity venture will commence, presenting, in a press conference, a new project for research to fight against Rare Diseases.

With Lamberto Sposini, Chief of the National Journalists for solidarity there will also be present the Minister of Health, Girolamo Sirchia who gave his personal encouragement to this event. In addition there will also be the Chief of Uniamo (Italian Federation of Rare Diseases) Loredana Nasta with other well known journalists such as Enrico Mentana, Antonio Marrazzo, Marco Mazzocchi and Massimo Caputi.

The aim of the conference will be to announce a partnership between television Journalists and Uniamo (Italian Federation of Rare Diseases) the unique Federation of patients' associations representing different rare pathologies.

Attending the conference will be Ciro Mennella , Maurizio's father. Maurizio is a little boy from Torre del Greco affected by Ondine syndrome, an obscure and not very well- known disease: just 230 cases worldwide, about 30 cases in Italy. The presence of Loredana Nasta will be important to remember and awaken public opinion on research.
